Event Description
Whether you are a homesteader, aspiring farmer, or curious consumer, this workshop will give you the opportunity to learn what it takes to raise and slaughter rabbits for meat. We will discuss and see examples of meat rabbit breeds, housing, pasturing, breeding, feeding, and processing. We will focus on the 4 stages of poultry processing: killing, skinning, eviscerating, and packaging. Each workshop attendee will have the opportunity to get hands on experience with each station if so desired but participation is not necessary. 

Each attendee will have the opportunity to slaughter their very own pasture raised, meat rabbit (a $40 value) and bring it home for their freezer or dinner table.
